Charmander is a very-rare Fire-type Pokémon from Kanto region. It evolves into Charmeleon when fed with 25 candies and its final evolution form is Charizard. Charmander is also the Starter Pokémon.

Charmander - Lizard Pokémon
The flame that burns at the tip of its tail is an indication of its emotions. The flame wavers when Charmander is enjoying itself. If the Pokémon becomes enraged, the flame burns fiercely.

  • Charmander was released with the game launch on July 6th, 2016.
  • In the wild, maximum capture CP of Charmander is 712, however it can reach 771, if encountered Pokémon is boosted by current weather.
  • From July 6th, 2016 to July 7th, 2017, Charmander used to be a possible hatchling from 2-km Eggs.
  • From December 21st, 2017 to Spring, 2018, Charmander used to be a possible hatchling from 5-km Eggs.
  • As a 1st tier level Raid Boss, Charmander's CP is 3,380. Its maximum capture CP in Bonus Challenge is 475 and 593 when encountered Pokémon is boosted by weather.
  • Charmander's spawn rate and chance to be found in the wild were significantly higher during the Solstice Week event in June, 2017.
  • Charmander is one of the four Starter Pokémon, the others being Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Pikachu.
  • Its most optimal moveset in combat is Ember and Flamethrower.
  • Charmander was featured during the May Community Day.
