Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is a seasonal event in Pokémon GO that takes place in the first half of February. It is the in-game counterpart of Valentine's Day.

BackgroundEdit

This event took place between February 8th and February 15th, 2017.

Trainers were awarded double Candy every time they caught, hatched, and transfered Pokémon. Buddy Pokémon also found candy twice as fast.

Trainers noticed an increased spawn rate of Chansey, Clefable, and many other adorable pink Pokémon. Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Smoochum were also be more likely to hatch from Eggs.

Additionally, lure modules' duration were increased up to six hours, rather than their normal 30 minutes.[1] After the event concluded, lures continued to last 6 hours until 4pm PST on Saturday, February 18th.[2]
